Cheryl Cloud & Common Ground
had started rehearsals for this project before Cheryl passed
away in 1995. She asked the other members to complete the CD
if she didn't make it. This was definitely a heartfelt labor
of love. The record features 11 new songs by Cheryl Cloud (she
makes a moving appearance on "The Secret is You") and
introduces the songwriting team of Marcy Hogan and Mark Cloud.
"The Secret is You" was recorded at Mark and Cheryl's
home in Murrieta on Mark's 4 track with Cheryl playing alone
with her guitar. It was a very emotional session at the studio
when Marcy Hogan added her distinctive Viola to round out this
recording. |
